Women’s tennis abandons its opening match at Le Moyne | Tech Rasta

SYRACUSE, NY – Second year Natalia Aruj and senior Lara Kaplan picked up first-two wins in singles, but host Le Moyne (6-3) prevailed over Binghamton Women’s Tennis (0-1) 5-2 in a doubles match Tuesday afternoon at the Skytop Tennis Courts.

Aruj improved to 10-1 with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 1 in singles. Kaplan went 6-0, 6-3 at No. 2 in singles.

But the host Dolphins started the day with three doubles wins to grab the first point. Le Moyne then used singles wins at the numbers 3-6 to seal the victory.

Binghamton will next play in the University at Buffalo Invitational Tournament on Oct. 16.
