Realme teases smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 1080, may launch this year | Tech Rasta

Smartphone brand Realme has released a new smartphone. The company has yet to reveal the name of the upcoming phone. But it has already confirmed that the phone will be powered by the recently launched MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor. “Mission: 1080 likes; Reward: New Dimensity 1080 chipset on upcoming #realme devices this year! It’s important to note here that the company has just teased the phone. It has yet to confirm the model number or release schedule of the device. But the smartphone is likely to launch later this year.

MediaTek recently launched the Dimensity 1080 5G mobile platform. The processor is based on a 6nm process and comes with an upgraded octa-core CPU. It is equipped with two Arm Cortex-A78 CPU cores with clock speeds up to 2.6GHz and an Arm Mali-G68 graphics unit. The company says the chipset can support up to 200MP cameras, sub-6GHz 5G networks, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. The processor has gaming capabilities such as HyperEngine 3.0 with built-in AI processing unit 3.0.

Meanwhile, Realme phones are being discounted during the ongoing Flipkart Big Diwali sale.For example, the Realme GT 2 is currently in rupee26,999 on Flipkart. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and has a 6.62-inch full HD+ AMOLED display. The device houses a 5,000mAh battery that is said to be able to charge from 0% to 100% in about 33 minutes using a 65W charger.Likewise, the entry-level Realme C30s can be bought at a discounted price rupee7,499.Smartphones are listed in rupee$8,999 on Flipkart, 10% off select cards.On the other hand, the Realme 9 starts at rupee16,999.
