renew: Realme has now officially announced the GT2 series at MWC 2022, confirming that the vanilla model will start at €449 (~$504) for the base model with 8GB RAM/128GB of internal storage, or €599 (~$671) for the high-end SKU with 12GB/256GB.

On the other hand, the GT2 Pro starts at just €649 (~$727) for the 8/128GB SKU and €749 (~$839) for the 12/256GB. However, these are early-rise prices, available at realme.com/eu, and are only valid from 8-15 March 2022.

After this window, the price of the new flagship’s 8GB GT2 has returned to its normal 549 euros (~$615); the base model Pro is 749 euros and the high-end model is 849 euros (~$951), while the 12GB GT2 price remains the same . As such, initial price leaks for the series may or may not appear as reported; nonetheless, they’re still competitive enough given their premium specs and fresh looks.

Source article: Realme has announced that it will hold a global launch of the GT2 series during the upcoming MWC 2022 showcase. Obviously, the OEM prefers to keep fans mum about how much these new phones will cost until then – however, according to blog DealnTech, it fails in that task.

The site claims to have obtained a screenshot from a retailer listing the price of the GT2 range in euros for the first time. The sellers in question apparently stock both the vanilla and pro versions, the latter starting at €789 (~$897) each.

That’s making for a relatively attractive price, especially with the competitive Galaxy S22 (which doesn’t share the GT2 Pro’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 platform in the same region) currently starting at 849 euros (about $966). Additionally, Samsung’s base model flagship comes with an 8GB RAM/128GB configuration at that price, while the allegedly leaked price of the GT2 Pro corresponds to a 12GB/256GB SKU.

Additionally, the GT2 Pro with the E5 AMOLED will apparently be available in its new “eco-friendly” special edition paper green and white colorway (with the more traditional steel black as an alternative) at that price.

Meanwhile, the retailer will also reportedly stock the GT2 – which shares many specs with its Pro counterparts despite running on the sub-premium Snapdragon 888 SoC – starting at €539 for the 8GB/128GB entry level (~$616) unit, or double the internal storage for 589 euros (~$669).

As such, the GT2 series, like its predecessor, will be an affordable option for those looking for a new or new Qualcomm mobile chip in Europe in 2022. DealnTech, on the other hand, left some potential verification details in this leak, chief among them the name of the alleged seller. Therefore, Realme still has to confirm or deny these claims on February 28, 2022.
