Realme GT Neo 3 launched at a lower price than its OnePlus rival in India | Tech Rasta

Realme has officially launched the GT Neo 3 in India. The fact that this phone is actually a 1-for-1 remake of the OnePlus 10R doesn’t make a big difference, it hit the same market 1 day ago yesterday (28 April 2022). Once again, the latest version has proven to be a slightly cheaper option.

The GT Neo 3 arrives on Indian shores in 3 variants, with 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB or high-end 12GB/256GB RAM/internal storage configurations. Of these, only the last has the smartphone’s new 150W charging special selling point.

The 8GB SKU is slower but still a high-end 80W Super VOOC SuperDart charging is paired with a 5,000mAh battery, while the 150W version has to use a smaller 4,500mAh battery. Hence, the OEM claims that its Indian fans can get the GT Neo 3 that suits them best.

They could also undercut OnePlus in the process, as the 8GB+128GB Neo 3 debuted at 36,999 rupees (~$484), while the 10R in the same configuration was 38,999 rupees (~$510). In addition, Realme’s 8GB+256GB SKU has no other brand form and is also priced at Rs 38,999.

In addition, the GT Neo 3 150W version – which has almost the same specs as the “10R Endurance Edition” – is the cheaper of the 2, priced at INR 42,999 (~$562). Then again, OnePlus can argue that the phone it offers is a 12GB/256GB option without 150W charging.

Also, the 10R’s SoC is the Dimensity 8100-MAX, not the standard 8100 in the Neo 3, although any supposed advantages the former possesses have yet to materialize in independent testing.

Still, the GT Neo 3 is the only device to feature a black-striped Sprint White or white-striped purple Nitro Blue finish with a triangular camera design and a racing-themed rear panel. From May 4, 2022 (the birth date of Realme as a brand), it can be ordered via realme.com/in.
