Men’s tennis will host the ITA Northeast Regional | Tech Rasta


PHILADELPHIA CREAM – The University of Pennsylvania will host one of two Northeast regions (Army West Point the other) for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) this weekend from the Hecht/Hamlin Tennis Centers. The game will start on Friday and continue until Monday.

Penn will join 18 other schools, including three from the Ivy League, for the event just two weeks before the Harvard-hosted ITA Super Regionals and a month away from the ITA Fall Nationals in San Diego.

Baylor Sai, Kian Vakili, Zack Smith, Zachery Lim, Tal Goodman, Manfredi Graziani, Matthew Rutter and Samir Gangoli will all compete in singles competitions. Final doubles pairings for the Quakers are yet to be determined.

The enemies of Ivy Cornell, Princeton and Yale will join the Quakers in University City, as well as Buffalo, Drexel, FDU, Fordham, Hofstra, Lehigh, Monmouth, Niagara, NJIT, Rider, St. Bonaventure, St. Francis (NY), St. Francis (Pennsylvania), St. John’s and Wagner.
