Started tracking the PC market in the mid 1990s and the fourth consecutive quarter of year-over-year declines.

Mikako Kitagawa, director of analytics at Gartner, said, “This quarter’s earnings could be a historic slowdown for the PC market. “As supply chain disruptions have eased, But high inventory has become a major problem due to weak demand for PCs in both the consumer and business markets. Back to school sales ended with disappointing results. Although there are many promotions and discounts. This is due to a lack of demand as many consumers have bought new PCs in the last two years. In business, geopolitical and economic uncertainties have led to more selective IT spending. and the PC is not at the top of the priority list.”

The top three vendors in the global PC market remained unchanged in the third quarter of 2022, with Lenovo holding the No. 1 position in shipments with a 25.2% market share (see Table 1).
