The venue will have two zones – the family-friendly Jubilee Park and the VIP experience at the Al Wasl complex – for fans to enjoy.
As the Fifa World Cup in Qatar approaches, Expo City Dubai is launching a new football destination called Fan City.
The area has two zones – the family-friendly Jubilee Park and the modern experience in Al Wasl – and aims to celebrate the game during the tournament, which will run from Novmeber 20 to December 18.
Jubilee Park will open to fans and visitors as soon as the Fifa World Cup kicks off on Sunday, November 20. The park has a big screen and entertainment that will keep the electric atmosphere surrounding the tournament alive. Activities and attractions include tabletop games, agility courses, foot volleyball courts, facilitated penalty kicks, face painting, and DJ spinning sets at halftime.
The strip can host 10,000 guests and will feature bean bags and a variety of food trucks. There will also be a licensed area for guests of legal drinking age, led by Budweiser, the Official Beer of the Fifa World Cup, and a shisha lounge.
Jubilee Park will be open from 5pm to 1.30am on weekdays, and 12pm – 1.30am on weekends.
A VIP guest experience awaits guests at the Al Wasl complex, where four super-sized screens will show the match live, complemented by in-game footage projected on the dome, from Saturday, December 3.
Spectators can enjoy matches and team anthems, a flag-raising ceremony, and pre- and post-game entertainment.
Al Wasl can seat up to 2,500 guests, with general admission, VIP hospitality packages and VVIP box seating on offer. Hospitality guests will also receive a one-day Expo City Dubai Attraction Pass valid until 31 December 2022.
Al Wasl will be open from 6pm to 9.30pm and 10pm to 1.30pm. Early game ticket holders can enjoy easy access to Jubilee Park afterwards.
General admission to Fan City starts at Dh30, and is free for children aged 12 and under. VIP and hospitality packages are also available. Tickets will be available soon from Platinumlist.
